andrewg, I meant to say that teenage girls and grandmothers need not comment and you have confirmed that I should have done so. But nice one about "bowled over". Anyway, I've only ever commented on Watson's cricket and not his looks so perhaps you are right.

I agree with all of your other comments - players can cement their place in the team when performing against ordinary opposition. Then when they run up against a good team like South Africa (and England in England), guys like Hussey and Hayden come undone.

i have long suspected your single-minded campaign against watson was merely covering up for your feelings for the man. all australian man that he is, blonde hair, tanned skin, buffed, easy to bowl over...

but i digress, i think that watson will make lots of runs this summer and that all will be forgiven and forgotten. which reminds me of why so many australian summers of cricket are so ho-hum. no real competition. we won't be able to tell whether watson sux or not because he will be up against arguably the 8th best team in australia while the windies are here at least (and there may be a couple of grade sides that might compete for that accolade....).

ho hum, i'm glum, 3-0, oh here's the pakistanis, oh dear, internal troubles, they don't like the coach, 3-0, oh shove it, let's go out the backyard and play some cricket instead...when do we tour india?
